The changes to the 1st and 2nd holes have gone according to plan and at this stage we are ahead of schedule.
The 1st green is likely to open in the middle of May with the completed 2nd hole which opened on Friday 20 April. Steenberg’s Golf Director, Ian Kennedy, said the following,
“We are thrilled with the outstanding work and professionalism conducted by Southern Turf Management in overseeing this project. The weather played its part in ensuring productive work while achieving our desired result. Judging from the finished product we have attained our goal of enhancing these two holes and these changes have significantly improved the start to our course. We are convinced that our homeowners, members, guests and visitors will thoroughly enjoy these holes as much as we have enjoyed creating them.” |
